The Simi Valley Youth Summit is an annual event planned by the Simi Valley Youth Council. The 2020 Youth Summit marked a unique time, as it was held on March 12, 2020, just before the full onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The next day, several school districts across the nation shut down. One week later, on March 19, 2020, the statewide shutdown was ordered.
