Each year the Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) conducts an annual meeting with stakeholders and city, county and state officials to share updates on programs, initiatives and businesses served in the counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. In 2023, the meeting focused on purposefully creating prosperity in the region after COVID-19.

EDC is committed to fostering a strong and healthy Ventura and Santa Barbara regional economy with a high quality of life and broadly shared opportunities. The nonprofit was founded in 1996 with funding from the County of Ventura, the 10 cities in the county and key private-sector companies. EDC has become a key player in delivering business consulting, funding and strategic initiatives that support the regional economy and business owners across the greater Central Coast.
